Job Description (Volunteer role)
About the Role
The Membership Officer helps keep track of club memberships and annual fees, making sure our membership records stay up to date.
With around 50 members, the administrative side of the role is minimal and should take approximately one hour per week. The role also involves attending one or two Thursday outings each month, from 9.00 am to 10.30 am, to check membership details and have a chat with attendees.
It's a great opportunity to be involved in the club, spend time out in nature or exploring our local town, meet new people and help make ACE a welcoming place for everyone.
What You'll Do

Keep a simple, up-to-date record of club members and their membership renewal dates.

Keep track of annual membership fees in consultation with the Treasurer.

Send friendly reminders to members when their fees are due or outstanding.

Attend one or two Thursday outings each month, from 9.00 am to 10.30 am, to check membership details and follow up with anyone who needs to renew.

Welcome new members and help people interested in joining understand how our club works.

Let the committee know about new members, renewals and any membership issues that need attention.
How Much Time Is Involved?
The administrative duties should take around one hour per week, on average. There may be slightly more to do during membership renewal periods.
You will also attend one or two Thursday outings each month, from 9.00 am to 10.30 am. These outings are an enjoyable part of the role, giving you the opportunity to catch up with members and meet new people while enjoying photography around Albany and the surrounding area.
